On July 25, 2024 my dad woke my mom up at 4am with a headache over his left eye and said his eyes "were acting funny." Mom immediately took his blood pressure and off they went racing to our local hospital a quick 12 minutes away. Mom knew something was wrong because as they drove, Dad's speech and ability to answer questions got worse quickly.  A foggy morning prohibited a helicopter transport once the first hospital was able to stop the very rapidly expanding massive brain bleed.

I guess the fog in some way is a blessing because the ambulance transport gave Mom time for phone calls, prayer requests and upon arrival they quickly met the neurosurgical team and "The" Dr. Williams - the doctor who saved my dad.

That day I was in a volleyball tournament and my brother was in a golf tournament not knowing what was really going on and how our lives would be changed forever.

Dad has had several brain surgeries including a major craniectomy and thankfully, he is very lucky and progressing daily. We are so incredibly thankful for the many surgeons, teams of doctors, nurses, and the numerous therapists Mom & Dad have grown to know and befriend. We are humbled by all of the love, prayers and support from family, friends, and our growing community near and far.

We work hard every day to keep going, keep standing back up and faithfully keep praying. We can never repay or thank people enough who have helped us on this journey, so instead, it's time to pay it forward.
